Beatrep — rep counter & interval timer

Questions, trouble, or feedback? Email hello@wissmueller.net — you will hear back from the person who wrote the app.

Get started

Open Settings → Exercises & reference reps. Create an exercise, record one clear repetition with your full body in view, and test the reference. Add further reference reps for a different side or camera position.

Under Sessions, create a session and add exercises in the order you want. Each exercise can have an optional weight in kilograms, sets, repetitions per set and interval. Leave targets blank for open-ended training. Add pauses between exercises when needed.

Improve counting

Use good lighting and a stable device position. Keep your full body visible, avoid other people in the frame, and use a reference that matches your current movement and camera angle. Test the reference before your workout. Counting is based on visible movement; it is not a medical measurement or a technique assessment.

Pause or finish

Pause a running workout before going back; it remains resumable. Use Stop session and confirm to finish. You can delete saved workouts from the history.

Beatrep Pro

The first exercise is free. Pro unlocks additional exercises with monthly or yearly billing. Prices are shown in your local App Store currency before purchase. German prices are €0.99 monthly and €9.99 yearly. If Pro expires, additional exercises remain saved but locked.

Use Restore purchases in Settings → Beatrep Pro if an existing subscription is missing. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription.

Heart rate and permissions

Pair a compatible Bluetooth heart-rate sensor to show current and session-average readings. Camera, Bluetooth, Health and Calendar permissions can be managed in your device settings. Health and Calendar are optional.

Report a problem

Send your device model, iOS or macOS version, Beatrep version, and the steps to reproduce the issue. For counting problems, describe the exercise and the camera position. Do not include private workout records or recordings unless you choose to share them.
